Jacketed steel offers a rare chance to have the superior performance and edge retention of High Carbon steel with the rust and corrosion resistance of Stainless steel. These knives will be made in extremely limited quantities due to the intense labor and cost the working with this material entails.

DHF 1095 High Carbon steel  and 52100 steel blades are hardened and tested from 58HRC up to 63 HRC dependng on application. Included in our program is a full thermal cycling grain refinement program.  This insures steel density that can support the extreme hardness at the cutting edge. In turn, providing lasting edge retention and minimal sharpening maintenance needs.
