The Bunka is a three virtues kitchen knife. Mince, Dice, and Chop, those are its forte. Much like the westernized version, the Santoku, this knife is preferred by the majority of home chefs in the Asian market. A true all purpose kitchen knife. 

DHF 1095 High Carbon steel blades are hardened and tested to 63 HRC with a full thermal cycling grain refinement program.  This insures steel density that can support the extreme hardness at the cutting edge. In turn, providing lasting edge retention and minimal sharpening maintenance needs.

Maintenance - Pure High Carbon steel has no natural corrosion resistance. blade owners will need to be aware of this and take extra maintenance precautions to prevent it. Hand wash and dry immediately after use and coat with a food grade oil, such as olive or mineral oils, before storage.
